Double Foul in the post, offensive player and defensive player clamp each other

This is an example of a double foul for clamping. Neither offensive player nor defensive players may lock or clamp their opponent, restricting their opponent’s freedom of movement. On this play, both the offensive player and the defensive player simultaneously lock and clamp each other as they try to establish position in the paint. The correct call for this type of contact, which is more than marginal, is a double foul.
