This is an example of an illegal screen that is not very common. An offensive player may not get into the path of a moving defender without giving him the opportunity to stop and/or change direction. On this play, one offensive player, #16 in the white uniform, pulls his teammate, #30 in the white uniform, into the path of a trailing defender. Since the offensive player moved into the path of a moving defender without giving him the opportunity to stop and/or change direction, the contact is ruled an offensive foul for an illegal screen. As with typical illegal screens, the offensive foul is assessed to the player who makes the illegal contact, which in this case would be #30 in white, and not to the player who caused him to make the contact, which was #16 in white.
