This is an example of a permissible reaction under the “Respect for the Game” guidelines. Players can react to calls with which they disagree, provided the reaction is not overly demonstrative, disrespectful, or prolonged. On this play, the player in the white uniform approaches the official in a non-aggressive fashion, and he asks the official a question or two about the previous play. Since the player did not do so in an aggressive or disrespectful manner, and the dialogue was not prolonged, this would be deemed an acceptable exchange and no penalty would be warranted.
