Legal play, Offensive player grabs the rim and releases it before the ball enters basket ring

This play is an example of a legal basket that WOULD NOT be considered offensive basket interference. An offensive player may not be hanging on the rim or pull the rim to an off-center position when the ball passes thru the basket. On this play, the offensive player clearly grabs the rim with his left hand but he releases the rim before the ball enters the basket. Since the rim also returned to a normal position, this is a legal play, and the basket would be counted.
