Travel on Post Face Up, lifts and slides pivot foot before releasing the ball

This is an example of a traveling violation. An offensive player who receives the ball and establishes a pivot foot may step with his other foot, but he must release the ball to start his dribble prior to his pivot foot sliding or lifting from its spot. The offensive player here lifts and slides his left pivot foot prior to his dribble being released, and thus, he commits a traveling violation.
