“This is an example of a Backcourt violation. The offensive player inbounding the ball, Elie Okobo, passes to his teammate, Dario Saric, but the pass takes Saric into the backcourt to gather it. Since he is in his backcourt when he gathers the pass, this is a violation. Note that a player inbounding the ball in the frontcourt may not pass the ball to a teammate positioned in the backcourt, unless it is in the final two minutes of the game.”
