“This is an example of an offensive foul for charging, as the defensive player is legally positioned outside the Restricted Area. The secondary defender, Daniel Gafford, establishes legal guarding position in the path of the offensive player, Andrew Wiggins, prior to the offensive player starting his upward shooting motion, and the defender’s feet are completely outside the Restricted Area. Because the defensive player established legal guarding position, and the contact is initiated by the offensive player, this is an offensive foul for charging.”
