“This is an example of a defensive foul for illegal contact between the dribbler and his defender. The dribbler, RJ Barrett, establishes a straight-line path to the basket, and the on-ball defender, AJ Green, initiates illegal contact with his body into the body of the dribbler. Contact that affects a dribbler’s speed, quickness, rhythm, and balance as he drives toward the basket is illegal. This is a defensive foul.”
