Hard Foul, Non Flagrant, defender runs into the screener Hard Foul, Non Flagrant, defender attempts to steal the ball from opponent Hard Foul, Non Flagrant, defender makes contact, offensive player falls hard
“This is an example of a foul that would not be considered a Flagrant Foul. The defensive player, Terrance Ferguson, makes a basketball play, as he extends his arm and attempts to knock the ball away from the offensive player, Devin Booker. The contact is correctly ruled a common foul, and not a Flagrant Foul, as the contact is neither unnecessary, nor excessive. There is no wind-up, hard impact or follow through by the defender. Again, this is not a Flagrant Foul. “
