“This is an example of a violation on an inbounds play. The inbounding offensive player, Davis Bertans, receives the ball from the official and he then moves several steps from his original position. This is a violation, as a thrower-in is not permitted to move from the spot that he’s in when he receives the ball from the official. Following the violation, the ball is awarded to the opposing team at the sideline nearest the spot of the violation.”
