Point of Contact foul, defender makes contact to shooter’s arm Legal play, no push off by dribbler on drive Legal play, no push off by dribbler on drive and pull up
“This is an example of contact between an offensive player and his defender that does not rise to the level of a foul. The dribbler, Devin Booker, drives toward the basket, and his defender, Kenrich Williams attempts to maintain legal defensive position. The dribbler does not extend his arm, nor does he dislodge his defender. This is a legal play. The two players do make contact with each other, but the contact is marginal, and there is no foul committed by either player.”
